Hello and welcome to the online home of Cow Lane Ranch. We are a small family ranch located in Opelousas, Louisiana. We are not a kennel. All of our dogs are pets and are part of the family. They have large yards to run and play in and be dogs. They all come inside, but like to be outside most of the time.

We have been raising happy and healthy Boxers and Pembroke Welsh Corgis for about 10 years. We added Neapolitan Mastiffs to the gang about a year ago.

Our story began when my husband and I were children being raised in households with dogs. I was raised with Chows, Labs and an assortment of rescued “mutts”. While I was in high school I met a Corgi at a cattle show and knew I had to learn more about these funny looking little dogs. After searching for several years, I found a beautiful red and white male named Fritz and had to bring him home. Neal was raised with mixed breed dogs, a Borzoi and a Boxer. He fell in love with the Boxer personality and after looking around found “the one”. He purchased a fawn female that he named Star.

Fritz and Star filled our lives with lots of laughs and plenty of stories about the “odd couple”. When we purchased them, we had no intention of breeding dogs, but as we learned more and our passion grew for these great dogs, we wanted to share our joy with others.

Our goal is to produce puppies with great temperaments that meet their breed standard as closely as possible. We carefully choose our dogs for the best quality, temperament and health. We are equally as choosy about the homes our puppies go to. Our puppies are well socialized to insure they will become a great addition to your family. All our puppies are allowed to play with the “big kids” and are handled daily.

All our dogs are cared for by our vets at Town and Country Animal Clinic in Ville Platte. Our puppies go to their new home with their dewclaws removed, tails docked, wormed, vet check and age appropriate shots.

We currently share our home with 5 Boxers, 3 Neapolitan Mastiffs, 4 Pembroke Welsh Corgis and 1 very spoiled pot bellied pig.
